Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Groysman initiates holding of consultations with political forces to make up a plan to overcome current political crisis Ukraine is about to face.

Groysman said this at the beginning of the plenary meeting on Thursday.

"It is merely unacceptable to ignore the fact that we are getting into a serious political crisis. We cannot pretend that nothing happens. This is another challenge for the Ukrainian politicians, it demands us find proper solution to overcome the crunch," he said.

Earlier on Thursday, the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada told a briefing that the crisis had to be settled by representatives of political forces along with the President to stabilize the situation.

"As the head of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, I will hold consultations with all political forces to find a proper plan to tackle the situation," Groysman said.

The Chairperson of the Ukrainian Parliament noted that the coalition agreement requires immediate update to get turned from a formal document into a precise, clear action plan.

Besides, he noted that there are several issues on the urgent agenda: the Government, the Central Election Commission, etc.

Asked about the resignation of Minister of Economic Development and Trade Aivaras Abromavicius, Groysman said that it was a duty of the National Anticorruption Bureau to give its estimation to the statements made by the minister. He noted that the conclusions of the National Anticorruption Bureau have to be clear and open.
